Dr. Eichenstein has been conducting IQ testing for children, teens and young adults for over 20 years. She recognizes that people with gifted intelligence need to be identified as they often exhibit special needs in terms of meeting their cognitive potential needs. She is located in Los Angeles and has been working with the Mirman School for over 15 years to conduct IQ tests that allow children to apply for admission.

Nicole A. Tetreault, PhD

Dr. Tereault specializes in neurodevelopment and is well-versed in research on giftedness. She works to open a discussion, provide accurate information, language and compassion for the gifted experience by summarizing the latest scientific findings of neuroscience, physiology, and sensory processing in gifted individuals. She offers consulting in addition to speaking, writing articles, and conducting academic research.

Todd Stanley is an author, blogger, speaker, and presenter on the topic of gifted education. As a former classroom teacher and current gifted services coordinator, he is an expert in many gifted issues, especially underachievement in gifted learners. He is currently the Gifted Services Coordinator for Pickerington Local School District and an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati teaching gifted education.

SAGE Center for Gifted

SAGE Center for Gifted is a families’ first step in securing needed guidance and direction for the decisions they need to make regarding the assessment, educational, and clinical support of their children when traditional processes are not their path. Advanced Psychology: Gifted Assessments

Dr. Tali Shenfield provides information and insights about gifted assessments and offers a free comprehensive online gifted screening test to help parents determine whether a formal gifted assessment is recommended for their child.

Center for Identity Potential

The Center for Identity Potential offers specialized counseling and consultation services for gifted, talented and exceptional people. Their team utilizes a group evaluation process with a systemic approach to access the various factors affecting each client’s presenting concerns and tailor our support to meet these needs. Along with general mental health concerns, they work with those struggling with learning problems or what can be called Twice Exceptionality, ADHD and executive functioning concerns, anxiety, depression, anger issues, emotional sensitivities and other issues relevant to the gifted, talented and exceptional population.

Cathy J. Cohn, PhD, LCSW

Dr. Cathy Cohn, winner of the Impact on Education award for the Boulder Valley School District, is an advocate for teaching social-emotional skills in school. From her practice in Colorado, she offers psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy, and is very experienced with working with gifted and twice-exceptional children who struggle with anxiety, self-esteem, motivation, or other obstacles.

Beth Levy, Ph.D.

In addition to her practice in Santa Monica, Dr. Beth is a consultant and evaluator for the Mirman School for Gifted Children, Head Start Preschools, the Pasadena School District Preschool Team, and more. She offers assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning related to giftedness, kindergarten readiness, learning disorders, and austistic spectrum disorders. She also helps develop IEPs, consult on school placement, and review previous assessments.
